About the Board of Trustees

Under Minnesota law, governmental units may enter into contracts to provide group employee benefits and financial management services.

The Sourcewell Board of Trustees has authority to execute such contracts on behalf of the Sourcewell's Better Health Collective. Three representatives are appointed by the service cooperative (Sourcewell), with the remaining representatives appointed by the current labor management committee.

The Collective is composed of Minnesota public sector employer members utilizing Sourcewell’s insurance programs.

The Board of Trustees meets quarterly. Unless otherwise noted, meetings are held at 4 p.m. at Sourcewell in Staples, Minn., and the public is welcome. You can always check here for posted meeting dates and times. Questions may be directed to insurance.benefits@sourcewell-mn.gov.
